Q: What’s the advantage to using the 5 man as your trigger man?
Sherman: I saw a quote recently that said, “Space is the currency of sport.” Bringing a player that’s typically associated with being inside the arc opens up space inside the arc for drives and cuts. It allows you to not only move your teammate out of the way but also bring their defender out, creating less rim protection.

SSG of the Week: 1v1 Finishing on the Move
Building skill through starts, stops, change of direction, catching, and finishing. Players start on the baseline. On the coach’s “go,” players sprint around their respective cones. The player on offense receives a pass from the coach, while the defender attempts to contest the shot without fouling.
