Attacking the Switch: Inverted Ball Screens and Posting Guards
Coach Schertz: I think the biggest thing against switching is understanding that angles of the screen are different, the reads are different, what you’re looking for is different, and then, utilizing your bigger guards as well.
With more teams switching 1-5, intelligently attacking the switch has become a priority for coaches. Sometimes it’s as simple as screening for the ballhandler to create the desired matchup.
