It’s College Basketball’s Feast Week! My favorite Thanksgiving week tournament has always been the Maui Invitational, and this year’s field features some of the best X’s & O’s coaches in the country. Here are a few BLOBs, SLOBs, and ATOs from Day 1 of the Maui Invitational.

Ohio State Buckeyes - Power Flare BLOB

Buckeyes always do a great job creating early post up opportunities for their bigs, even off BLOBs. The guard-to-big screen punishes teams that switch, but for teams that don’t, the 5 gets great post position as x5 fights through the screen.

After setting the screen, 4 sets a flare screen for 2. On the catch, player 2 can shoot if open or drive the triple gap to either score it or kick to 3 if x3 gives help.
