Cutting within Conceptual Offense
I had the questions asked this week by a coach, “What are your rules for cutting within your halfcourt conceptual offense?” The answer to that question could be determined by factors like where the ball is driven from and even what sort of alignment your players are in. Two things I’d suggest for your consideration - 1) watch the film session below with Coach Tim Johnson then 2) check out the clips of my team along with my comments on cutting to score in conceptual offense.
Play of the Week: Horns Stagger + Burn
One of my go-to horns sets this year was combination stagger / burn action out of Horns. I liked to use it to take advantage of an unassuming defender. The stagger on the opposite side occupies help defenders, creating (at worst) a one-on-one with some sort (size, speed) of an advantage.
