3 of My Favorite Shooting Drills
There’s one thing I don’t think your players can ever get enough of - SHOOTING! Here are 3 of my (and my players’) favorite shooting drills…
4 Ball Shooting
Split into two teams, one team on each end. 4 balls per team. 4 shooters, a passer, rebounder(s). “One more" pass to the next player. Each perimeter player shoots then rotates to next spot. First team to ___ wins.
50 Piece Shooting
Split into 2 teams. Half the players shoot, half rebound. When the first group makes 25, switch. When the second group makes 25, drill is done. First team to 50 makes, wins.
Win the Side
Split into two teams. Choose 3 spots (corner, wing, slot). Each team has 1 basketball. When the group makes 10 shots, move to the next spot. The first team with 10 shots made at each of the 3 spots “wins the side.”

[Shooting] SSG of the Week: 1v1 Blast Cut Shooting
Simulate shooting off a cut up the perimeter. The shooter starts at the bottom cone, while the defender starts at the top cone. On the shooter’s move, the defender sprints around the bottom cone then contests the shot.
