Coaches love 5-Out sets. So does Fred Hoiberg. Here are four of coach’s most popular 5-out actions.
Dribble at Burn
Hoiberg does a great job creating a lot of activity to move the defense before creating the scoring action. Here, they swing the ball, hand it back to the point guard (Frame 1). Then it’s a DHO with a flare between the 4 and 5 (Frame 2). Finally, the ball goes back to the 5 who dribbles at the corner. When x1 moves to guard the DHO, 1 back cuts for an uncontested finish at the rim (Frame 3).
