⛹️ SSG: Blind+Opposite Cone 1v1 Finishing
Here’s a versatile 1v1 finishing game. Great for practice, summer camps, and small group workouts.
Place two cones a foot inside the 3P line 4-6 feet apart (adjust for a bigger or smaller advantage for the dribbler).
Players start stacked on the 3P line with both facing the basket.
The defender chooses which come to run around. Offense dribbles around the opposite cone.
Finish with the appropriate finishing move based on defense’s positioning.
The Tools Coaches Already Trust—Now Working Together
FastBodel tools have been part of basketball for years and now, FastDraw, FastScout, and FastRecruit are integrated into Hudl’s full basketball system. You can move from play diagrams to film clips to player tracking, all in one connected workflow. The tools you trust - now working even better together.
🏀 SSG: 2v2 Pound Finishing w/ Low Man Help
Pound finishing is one of my most-shared games. I like adding a teammate both the offense and defense up the decision-making. Now it becomes a passing and shooting game as well.
Ball-handler begins with a small advantage vs. his defender.
Low man (defender) reads his teammate to decide whether to give help.
If help comes, the ball-handler plays off two to “spray it” to open teammate.
Duke Blue Devils Small-Sided Games
I recently had the chance to watch the Blue Devils at an early season practice. From the start, Coach Scheyer and staff are developing decision-making skills via 1v1 and small-sided games. Check it out…
